Charles McDonough, 86, of Edison, passed away on April 21, 2020 in Edison.
Charles was born in Orange, NJ to Augusta and Charles McDonough on 10/3/33. He went to school in Springfield, NJ. He married
Shirley on August 14, 1954 in Osceola Church, Clark, NJ. He worked as a Salesman for Monsanto & Silgan for many years. He was a veteran of Korean War and served in the Navy and was awarded the National Defense Service Ribbon and the Navy Occupational Service Medal. Charles was involved in the VFW in Edison as a lifetime member.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Augusta McDonald and Charles McDonough. He is also predeceased by his brother, Dennis McDonough and two children, Charles McDonough and Susan DeSimone.
Charles is survived by his loving wife Shirley, his daughter Joyce Asprocolas and her husband Milton. He also leaves behind his brother Robert McDonald (Susan), sister-in-laws Jill McDonough and Jane Miele. His grandchildren, Gina Asprocolas (Joseph), Stephanie Asprocolas, Joseph DeSimone, Nicole DeSimone and many nieces and nephews.
A private burial will take place at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery on Friday April 24th.
