Casimir Leon Tarnalicki 92 of Colonia, NJ passed away peacefully, on Monday, March 31, 2025 at Maplewood Senior Living at Princeton, surrounded by his devoted family.
Cas was born as Charles on January 24, 1933, in Wilkes-Barre Township, PA, to Joseph Tarnalicki and Antonina (Rojowski) Glump Tarnalicki.
He worked as a conductor and a trainman for railroads across the country including, CSX, Norfolk Southern, Central Railroad of New Jersey and lastly Conrail from where he retired in 1995 after 41 years of service.
He enjoyed quiet moments with his family, fishing with a Stegmaier beer and kielbasa sandwich, picking huckleberries on Georgetown mountain, playing the harmonica, dominos and practical jokes. He was also a remarkable polka dancer with bright blue eyes and an infectious smile.
He is survived by his wife and dance partner of 64 years, Ruth (Bolacker) Tarnalicki, who fondly called him Satch. Also surviving are his children Karen (Bill Sr.) Hendriksen, Bruce (Linda) Tarnalicki, Christine (Matt) Todaro; grandchildren Bill (Kelly) Hendriksen Jr, Patrice (Dan) Malmud, Taylor (Brett) Sussman, Brian (Sarah) Tarnalicki and great-grand dogs Biscuit, Noodle, Figment and Jasmine.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by siblings, Henry, Walter and Helen Glump, Joe, Tony, John, Frank Tarnalicki and their spouses.
Visitation will be held from 8:30am to 9:30am on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Gosselin Funeral Home (660 New Dover Road, Edison NJ 08820) followed by a 10:00am Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Cecelia Church (45 Wilus Way, Iselin NJ 08830). Entombment will be in Saint Gertrude Cemetery (53 Inman Ave, Colonia NJ 07067)
