Carolyn Marie Poultney of Colonia, New Jersey, aged 78, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2024. Born on October 9,1945, in Bayonne, New Jersey, she was the daughter of Charles and Mildred Regenye. Carolyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Theodore Poultney, and her brothers, Charles Regenye and Clifford Regenye.
She is survived by her children and spouses, John Poultney, Wendy and Vincent DiLeonardo, Kelly McCloskey, Kevin and Kathryn Poultney, and Paige and Jonathan Baltrym, as well as her cherished ten grandchildren, Marissa, Michael, Mia, Patrick, Ella, Thomas, Logan, Sienna, Tatum and Sophia. Carolyn is also survived by her sisters Coreen Mellett and Cathie Witt, sister-in-laws Gail Regenye and Patricia Eccelston, and brother-in-laws Kevin Eccleston, John Witt and Robert Mellett. In addition to immediate family members, Carolyn was an Aunt and dear friend to many, particularly her two life long friends Joyce Hawk and Sue Oris.
Carolyn was known as a vibrant, caring, fun loving individual with the best sense of humor to all her family and friends. She was a social butterfly who loved to plan parties and was always up for new adventures. Her warm spirit, kindness and devotion to family and friends will be missed by many.
Visitation: Monday, January 22, 2024 from 3:00pm to 7:00pm at the Gosselin Funeral Home at 660 New Dover Road Edison, NJ.
Day of Funeral Visitation: Tuesday, January 23, 2024 from 9:00am to 10:00am followed by a 10:30am Mass at St John Vianney Church, Colonia.
Interment: 1:00pm at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
