It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that we announce the passing of a remarkable woman, a cherished friend and an extraordinary mother. Carolyn Keough, age 68 of Edison, NJ, was an amazing mother and a devoted grandmother.
Carolyn was born on October 7, 1954 and was raised by her loving parents James and Margaret Keough (both predeceased).
The highlight of her life was being an active mom to her three children. Carolyn eagerly attended an endless amount of youth sports games, school activities, and baton twirling competitions where she was her kids’ biggest fan. In the family’s darkest moment, Carolyn showed her true selflessness and gave her all to caring for Philip in his time of need.
Although her time with us was cut short, Carolyn will forever remain in our hearts as a guiding light. Her memory will continue to inspire us, reminding us to cherish the moments we share with loved ones and to live with compassion and kindness. Carolyn is survived by her children, Timothy Letavish and his wife Kelly, and Lori Sarmiento, her grandchildren Whitney, Trevor and Javier, her siblings Barbra Devaney, Margaret Barnable, Cathy Bogle, Dan Keough and her former spouse Phil Letavish and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The visitation will be held at Gosselin Funeral Home in Edison, New Jersey on Sunday, September 10, 2023 from 3-7pm. The funeral mass will be Monday, September 11, 2023 at 9:00am at St. Francis Church in Metuchen, New Jersey with interment at Hillside Cemetery in Metuchen, New Jersey.
