Carmela Schill

Carmela (Freda) Schill, passed away quietly in her sleep on September 19, 2021 in Oviedo. Florida.  She was born October 7, 1930 in Orange, NJ to Jennie DeAngelo Freda and Antonio Freda. She went to Orange High School where she met her husband Michael Schill,Sr. They were married October 27, 1952. They had 2 sons, Dr. Michael Schill,Jr. and Stephen A. Schill. She worked at Style Craft making men’s suits.

She was pre deceased by her husband Michael Schill,Sr (1996) and sons Dr. Michael Schill, Jr (2020) and Stephen A. Schill (2017).

She is survived by her sister Joann Scalone, of Toms River
Daughter in laws Debra SF Schill of Winter Springs and Monifa Polite Schill of Millington. She had three Grandchildren Jennifer (Shawn) Meadows, Michael (Dr. Karen) Schill and George WF Schill. She also had two great-grandchildren Nicholas and Zoey Meadows. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

She will return to New Jersey for her final resting place.

Viewing will be held at Gosselin Funeral Home in Edison on Sunday 10/3 from 2-4 and 7-9.
Funeral will be at St. Thomas Byzantine Catholic Church in Rahway, NJ at 10am followed by her interment at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Make A Wish Foundation and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Memphis, TN.
