Brett Miller Obituary

Brett M. Miller 39 of Colonia passed away Monday September 24, 2018, at JFK Medical Center, Edison. He was born in Edison and also resided in Colonia, Somerset, Keansburg and South Amboy, moving back to Colonia one year ago. Brett was a graduate of St. Joseph High School, Metuchen and the University of Scranton, PA. He had various jobs before college; after graduating college with honors, he was hired as a computer programmer at Health Care Software, Inc. in Farmingdale and worked there for many years. His most recent employment was at Columbus Hospital, Newark.

Brett was a star baseball player during his many years playing for Merrill Park Baseball League, then AAU Wooden Bat League, and also was coach and player for a team with his peers. He excelled in track in high school and baseball in college. He enjoyed coaching his children in sports. Brett loved watching the Mets and Giants play, listening to music and doing karaoke, ultimate frisbee, the racetrack, spending time with his family and friends, and especially going to the beach in the summer.

Brett was so bright, sensitive, caring and special and his family and friends are devastated by his passing.

Brett is predeceased by his beloved grandparents, Walter and Jule Miller and James and Alice Britton, and his dear uncle Frank Weber. He is survived by his children, whom he cherished, Aiden, Cameron and Raven, his heartbroken parents, Walter and Susanne Miller, brothers Scott and Kyle Miller his sister Kara Miller and her boyfriend Anthony, and many cherished Aunt, Uncles, Cousins and so many true friends. He also leaves behind Liam and Angelina whom he loved.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 29, 2018 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at the Gosselin Funeral Home 660 New Dover Road, Edison. Funeral Services Saturday 7:30PM at the Funeral Home.
