Biswadev “Dave” Bhattacharya

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Biswadev “Dave” Bhattacharya of Edison, New Jersey, on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at the young age of 51. 

Dave was a loving, devoted and selfless husband, father, son and son-in-law.  He was also a  caring and fun brother-in-law, uncle, friend and colleague. He was a very special person who was loved and admired by everyone who has met him both in his personal and professional life. Dave loved a good joke, a challenging debate, a compelling read and a good old scotch. He especially enjoyed speaking about his college days in Kohlapur, India.  He adored his truck, never gave up his love of motorcycles, loved to travel and was planning a pilgrimage trip to India’s Leh Ladakh.  

Even though Dave was taken too soon, he showed us his reslience and strength by putting up an  extraordinary fight right until the end. Dave is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Parul and their son Saanil; he is also commemorated by his doting parents, Biswanath and Kanika and the rest of his loving family.

Dave was a beacon of light in this world, and his memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of his loved ones. His life was a testament to the power of love, strength, and determination.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, December 22, 2023 from 10am to 12pm at Rosehill Cemetery located at 792 E Edgar Rd, Linden, NJ, followed by remembrance gathering of family and friends at our house (address will be announced at services)
