Bernice Sortino

Bernice “Bunny” Sortino passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on September 12, 2023.  Born in Elizabeth and resided there before moving to Cape May in 2010. She worked in the communication field for 35 years before retiring as a manager for AT&T Lucent Technologies. 

Bunny’s fun loving nature and infectious personality made everyone want to be around her. Her caring generous heart always put others first before herself. She loved being around children, cooking, baking and enjoyed making puzzles.

She is survived by her loving husband Charles of 64 years. Predeceased mother and father Edward and Marie Furtado. Sister Cecelia Silva, predeceased sister Dolores Szpond. Daughter Donna Tumminello and husband John. Daughter Lisa Guarino and husband Michael Jr. Grandchildren Michael and Cara, great grandchildren Santino, Alessandra, Roman and Luciano; Four nieces and nephews Eddie, Lori, Raymond and Chrissy.

There will be a private viewing for immediate family, followed by an entombment at St. Gertrude's Cemetery, to which all are welcome. See service information below.
