Beloved Grandmother, Mother, and Wife

Barbara Brady, 78, passed away on February 15, 2026, at JFK Medical Center in Edison, NJ. She was born on March 24, 1947, in Montclair, NJ. A longtime resident of Iselin, she retired as a crossing guard. Barbara was the heart and soul of her family, known for her compassion and ability to embrace anyone in need. Her warm words touched many she knew—and some she didn’t. She also found joy in caring for all the pets, especially showing extra love to the local cats who often visited for treats.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 55 years, John T., their children Vickie and her husband Fred Smith, John P. and his wife Melissa Brady, along with two grandchildren, Michael Brady and Dominic Smith. The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, you kindly make a donation to the local Humane Society.
