Anthony Thomas Vitello, 60, beloved son, brother and uncle, entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 9, 2020. To his loving family he was “Anthony” (to distinguish him from his Dad, Tony) but he was known as “Tony” to friends and co-workers. Born in New Brunswick, NJ, he grew up in Somerset NJ with his parents and sister. After graduating from High School and Technical School, Tony began working in the machining industry as a tool and die maker, machinist, and mechanic, which eventually led him to work for Infineum. Tony moved to Edison, NJ, near relatives, and remained in the same home for most of his life.
Tony cared a great deal for his family and friends and was always willing to lend a hand to those in need. He had a vast technical knowledge and could fix almost anything. Being skilled in all things mechanical, Tony especially enjoyed working on his cars and restoring vintage motorcycles.
Tony was dearly loved by his family and friends, and will be sorely missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his father, Tony Vitello of Somerset, NJ, his sister, Deborah Vitello of Piscataway, NJ, as well as his niece, Kathryn Doyle and nephew, Phillip Stankus. He is predeceased by his mother, Marion Vitello.
Due to the current Covid situation, a small service is planned for immediate family only and we will hold a memorial service at a later date to include family and friends.
