Anna Van Jaeckel, 95 the daughter of Mary and Joseph Davis of Linden, NJ and sister of the late Col. Joseph Davis, USAF.
Anna was a graduate of Linden High School and Green Mt. Jr. College of Poulty, Vt. She was employed by the Backeye Pipe Line Company in NY City.
Married to Raymond Van Jaeckel and moved to Cranford, NJ where she raised their three children Linda, Richard and Robert. When her husband Raymond died in 2011 she went to live with her daughter Linda and son-in-law Glenn Mackenzie in South Plainfield, NJ. Anna enjoyed her 9 grandchildren and her 14 great grandchildren.
Sherman School in Cranford awarded her a lifetime membership to the PTA. She was president of the colony club and treasurer of Wednesday morning club. She was a member of the Cranford Family Care board and St. Michael’s Rosary Society. She will be joining her husband at St. Gertrude Cemetery.
Surviving are Linda and Glenn Mackenzie, Rick and Diana Van Jaeckel, Robert and Jane Van Jaeckel. Also nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and three nieces.
Visitations will be held on Thursday April 22, 2021 from 11:00AM – 1:00PM at the Gosselin Funeral Home, 660 New Dover Road, Edison, NJ. Blessing will be at 1:00PM at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia, NJ.
