He was born March 23,1942 To the late Albenie & Lucy Cyr and grew up in Jamesburg, NJ. Andrew Cyr was a Corporal in the Marine Corps where he earned his Marksmanship Rifle badge, Good Conduct Medal & Mine warfare badge. After his service in the Vietnam War, he married and has resided in Edison, NJ for the past 46 years. He was the longtime owner of Dew's Tavern in Elizabeth, NJ, where he became a staple of the neighborhood. Andrew was a skilled craftsman who could build anything out of wood. He loved to be outdoors tending to his lawn and garden. If he wasn't doing that you would either find him on his swing, in his rocking chair reading a book or in the kitchen cooking a delicious meal. He was an amazing man that would always help someone in need, impart his wisdom when he could, and tell you what you needed to hear. He was most proud of being a Dad and a Grandpa. Anyone that was lucky enough to know him will carry with them a lifetime of memories: From his family, the bar gang, the many people he called his friends and all the wonderful neighbors over the years.
