Amelia V Cruz

Amelia Cruz, 83, of Brooklyn, New York passed away on April 6, 2026 at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York accompanied by family. Amelia was born on July 11, 1942 in Santiago Malvar Batangas, Philippines and immigrated to the United States in the 1970s.

Amelia was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother that cared deeply and sincerely for all her friends and family. With a natural knack for numbers and rules, Amelia loved to do puzzles and play number games even after her retirement from a banking career in Manhattan.

She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Miguel Cruz; her son Michael and wife Sarah; and her beloved grandchildren Lucas and Alex. Amelia, the youngest of 6 siblings, is also survived by her sisters Leoniza and Carmecita. Countless cousins, nephews, nieces, friends and family also keep her loving memory alive.
