Alice G Furda

Alice Geyer Furda, 75, of Colonia passed away on January 12, 2021 at RJWBH-Rahway. Alice was born March 13, 1945 to Harold and Marie Geyer in Jersey City, NJ, where they raised her and her three siblings. Alice graduated from Abraham Clark High School and went on to pursue a career in banking, becoming the Assistant Branch Manager of Franklin State Bank. Throughout the years, Alice went on to reside in Roselle and eventually settled in Colonia, where she lived with her husband Donald and son, Christopher. Alice enjoyed a simple life at home with her husband Don and cherished the time spent with her son, grandsons and family, including barbecues at Joanne’s house and holiday parties. She adored her three grandsons and delighted in watching them grow; finding the most joy in spoiling, loving, playing with, and talking to them. Alice enjoyed following baby panda growth and watching the Giant Panda Camera, which always brought a smile to her face. On most days you would find Alice in her favorite recliner chair, on her computer- playing games, looking at recipes, watching baby eagles in their nest or sharing silly memes on facebook. She was an especially proud mother and supporter of her son Christopher, who is a New York City Police Officer.

Alice was predeceased by her parents, Harold and Marie Geyer , her loving sister Patricia Schroer and sisters-in-law Grace Geyer and Theodora Gnad. Surviving are her husband, Donald of Colonia; her son Christopher, his wife Erin and their children, Jacob, Jared and Jackson of Staten Island; her brothers Harold and William Geyer; sister in law Elaine D’Angelo; and brothers-in-law Michael and Gary Furda, and Donald Schroer. She is also survived by her nieces Eileen Hartmann, Joanne Verderano and her nephew Michael Bonner, as well as many great nieces and nephews.

Visitation Friday January 15, 2021 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm at the Gosselin Funeral Home 660 New Dover Road, Edison. Funeral services Saturday January 16, 2021 8:00am at the funeral home followed by a 9:00am Mass at St John Vianney RC Church, Colonia. Interment St Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia
