Agnes Blessing Obituary

Agnes Blessing, age 84, passed away on January 4, 2019 at the Riverton Nursing Home in Rahway, NJ.

A longtime resident of Colonia, NJ, she was born in Elizabeth, NJ. She was predeceased by her parents Frederick and Albina Agnes, a sister Gloria Ulasevich, Brothers Frederick III, Ronald, and Eugene. She is survived by four Sisters; Dolores Cyr of Florida, Patricia Zaluk (wife of Chester) of Middletown, NJ, Rita Cassiba of Avenel, NJ, and Mary Palladino (wife of Anthony) of Florida, along with many beloved Nieces and Nephews. Agnes worked for many years at Merck & Co. She was a member of the Senior Group. She enjoyed playing cards, crocheting, reading and just being with, and helping, people. She was an avid bowler as well as active in many of the organizations at the Evergreen Senior Center in Colonia, NJ, where she also taught Line Dancing. She delivered Meals on Wheels, and was a Chime Counselor. She will be sorely missed by many.

A visitation will be held from 4PM – 6PM on Monday January 7, 2019 at The Gosselin Funeral Home, 660 New Dover Road Edison, NJ. All are welcome to meet at the funeral home on the morning of Tuesday January 8, 2019 at 9:45AM. Which will be followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10:45 at St. John Vianney Church, 420 Inman Avenue Colonia, NJ. Private cremation is to follow. Burial of ashes will be on January 12, 2019 at 10AM at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her name to the American Cancer Society for Cancer research will be greatly appreciated.
