Yvonne E (Cielto) Auguste

Yvonne E. Auguste passed away on Monday, November 19, 2018 at the JFK Medical Center in Edison, New Jersey.  She was born in Trinidad and Tobago.  On January 24, 1970, she immigrated to the United States with her three youngest children.  Her oldest four children arrived in the US a few months earlier.  She raised seven children as a single mother.  She resided in Harlem, NY and Brooklyn, NY before moving to Colonia in September 2003.  She was a home health aide at Self Help Community Service in New York City.  She retired as one of the top instructors in their training program for home health aides.

Yvonne was predeceased by her parents Michael and Margaret Cielto, her brothers Ralph and Ivan Cielto, and her sisters Evelyn Rosemin, Olga Lovell and Monica Harroo.

Surviving are her children Jay (Mac), Kurt, Ruthven, Nigeal, Monty, Chris and Rhonda, 15 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, sister Angela Johnson, brothers Neville and Hollis Cielto, and stepson Marcel.

Visitation is from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Monday, November 26, 2018 at Gosselin Funeral Home, 660 New Dover Road, Edison.  Funeral Mass is at 9:30 am on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at St. John Vianney Church in Colonia.  Everyone should meet at the Church.  Entombment will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia.
