Yan Zhang

Yan Zhang, 37, returned to her heavenly home on August 10, 2017 after a valiant battle with cancer. Her faith in God supported her throughout her struggle with the illness and ultimately gave her peace.

Yan was born and raised in China and moved to the United States in 2005. After receiving her master degree from Western Kentucky University in 2007 and Ph.D. from Purdue University in 2011, Yan pursued a career of drug research and development at Bristol-Myers Squibb and Glaskosmithkline Pharmaceutical companies. Yan is a lovely, warmhearted lady who enjoys many things in life such as playing piano, reading, cooking and swimming. She has actively involved with the service in the Mandarin Young Professional Fellowship in her home church, Rutgers Community Christian Church. She is dearly missed by her loved ones.

Visitation and funeral service will be held at the Gosselin Funeral Home (660 New Dover Rd., Edison, NJ) between 8:30 and 10:30 am on Saturday, August 19. Interment will follow afterwards at Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains.
