Theresa (Venezia) Fiorentino Friel

Theresa Fiorentino Friel, 98, passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Care One at Somerset Valley, Bound Brook surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Newark and lived in Colonia, Barnegat and Eatontown. She was a seamstress all her life since the age of 9 which was her art and life passion. Theresa was a vibrant, independent woman who put her unique spin on every situation. She loved her family and friends fiercely and she passionately took care of everyone.

 She was involved in charity work, sewing for the VFW and people in need. She was activities director at Meadow Brook Eatontown Senior Housing for 2 years. Her favorite being the monthly bus trips to Atlantic City. Theresa was a wonderful cook and enjoyed sharing her meals with her family, friends and residence. She was in the volunteer reading program as a reader for grade school children in Eatontown for many years.

Surviving are her daughter Neila Chupka and her husband Michael and her grandson Michael and his wife Kristin and their son Nolan and granddaughter Meredith and her fiancée Michael Simko.

            Visitation will be held on Saturday March 10,2018 at 9:00AM to 11:00AM at the GOSSELIN FUNERAL HOME, 660 New Dover Road, Edison.  Funeral Blessing 11:00AM to follow after visitation. Interment St Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
