Susan M (Kasper) Lawless

Susan Marie Lawless, 60, died peacefully on October 8, 2017, at home in Colonia.  Born in Kearny, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Kasper and Carol Kasper.  On October 27th of this year, she would have celebrated her 38th wedding anniversary to her beloved husband, Jack.

Susan loved her family and especially enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren.  She was also an avid animal lover and spent most Saturday mornings volunteering at Angel Paws.  She was a member of St. John Vianney Church, where she attended weekly mass.

Susan was a devoted mother to Jodi Cocchiola and her husband Tom, and Meghan Wilkinson and her husband Dave.  She was an adoring grandmother, “Mema,” to Thomas, Paige, and Kate, and she was eagerly anticipating another on the way.  Susan was also a dear sister to Elizabeth Mascellino and her husband Marc, and predeceased by her two brothers Steven and Michael.  She was a kind daughter-in-law to Jack Lawless and the late Ann Lawless, and sister-in-law to James and Lori Lawless.  She was a loving cousin and caring aunt to several nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Wednesday October 11, 2017 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at the Gosselin Funeral Home 660 New Dover Road Edison. Funeral services Thursday October 12, 2017 8:30 AM at the funeral home followed by a  10:30 AM Funeral Mass at Holy Cross Church, Harrison. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
