Sidney R White

Sidney R. White, formerly of Clark passed away peacefully on July 10th  at JFK  Hospice in Edison, he was 95.  Born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, he lived in Montreal, Hamilton, Ontario, Portland, Maine, Clark, New Jersey where he raised his family, Edison and Oklahoma before moving back to New Jersey.

 Sidney was employed by the American Can Company for 40 years. Sidney was proud of his achievements at American Can Company, most noteworthy was his cost saving measure to redesign of the can making the aluminum thinner and manufacturing the can in 1 piece.

He enjoyed his time traveling with Rita, and above all spending time with family. Sidney sang in many choirs through out his life and always had a love for singing.

 He is predeceased by his wife Rita, his parents, Joseph & Leah Wiseman; his 6 siblings sisters Jennie,, Dora and Stella, brothers, Solomon, David and, Mortimer and daughter, Michelle Brisebois. Surviving are Sidney’s sons and daughters-in-law, John & Renee White of Colonia and Brian & Coral White of Stillwater, Oklahoma; daughter and son-in-law, Joanne Kaplan and her husband Lee, also of Stillwater, Oklahoma; 6 grandchildren, Danny, Jason, Elizabeth,Victoria,, Michael and Lauren  and 2 great-granddaughters, Daisy, Olivia and a great grandson, Walter.
