On March 8, 2019 surrounded by his loving family, who was everything to him. Peter Ciotto passed away at home. Peter was a gentle kind hearted man that everyone loved. He was born in Newark, New Jersey in 1934 to Peter and Albena Ciotto. Peter lived in Iselin, NJ for most of his life. One of his favorite pastimes was going to the casinos, especially the Sands in PA. He was a lifelong Yankees fan and a member of the Italian American Club and Knights of Columbus.
Peter is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Dolores. Peter is survived by two devoted children, Peter Ciotto (Denise) of Washington, NJ and Nancy Pasternak (Robert) of South Plainfield, NJ. Peter also leaves behind two loving grandchildren, Robert Pasternak and Melissa Harris (Justin).
Peter worked for Bristol Myers for 27 years followed by being a co-owner of Paolini’s Townhouse in Rahway. He served his beloved country in the United States Army from 1957-1959.
Visitation will be held on Monday March 11th from 4-8PM at the Gosselin Funeral Home, 660 New Dover Road, Edison, NJ. Funeral services will take place Tuesday March 12th at 9AM at the Gosselin Funeral Home, followed by a 10AM mass at St. Cecelia’s RC Church in Iselin. Entombment to follow at St. Gertrude’s Cemetery in Colonia.
