Mary Ann (Vacca) Verdia

Mary Ann Verdia, 82, passed away on Sunday November 12,2017 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital @ Rahway surrounded by her loving family. She was born and resided in the Ironbound section of Newark before moving to Iselin in 1978. Mary Ann enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.

She was predeceased by her parents James and Mary Vacca, her brothers Frank, Louis, and John Vacca. Surviving are her husband of 57 years Fred Verdia, Sr. her children Fred Verdia, Jr. and his wife Wendi, Valerie Maccie and her husband Anthony, Maria Bauer and her husband John, John Verdia and his wife Andrea Bayas, also her 2 grandchildren Sophia and John, Jr (JJ) and her sister Nancy Hoch.

Visitation will be Wednesday November 15, 2017 from 3:00PM to 7:00PM at the Gosselin Funeral Home 660 New Dover Road Edison. Funeral service will be held on Thursday November 16, 2017 at 8:30AM at the funeral home followed by a 9:30AM mass at St John Vianney Church, Colonia. Entombment St Gertrude Cemetery Colonia.
