Mary Dus passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at RWJ University Hospital Somerset. Born on May 25, 1929 in Woodlawn, N.Y., Mary resided in North Tonawanda, N.Y. before moving to Piscataway, N.J. in 1976. Mary was a devout Catholic and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was known for her sweet nature, her kindness, her devotion to her entire family, her humor and her love of all living things.

Mary had an artistic soul which was evident in her drawings, floral arrangements, her baking and gardening.  Her children remember her fashion style and care she took for dressing for whenever she went out, either for pleasure or for her work at both St. Pius High School and later for the Piscataway Public Library system.

Married for 62 years, Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband Anthony Dus (2011). Surviving are her children Alan Dus and his wife, Marilyn; Joanne Dus-Zastrow and her husband, Douglas; James Dus and his wife, Donna; Clare Dus; Stephen Dus and his wife, Teresa; and Mary Beth Dus.  She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren Aaron, Shelley, Alan, Lauren, Aimee, Rebecca, Emily, Bethany, Sophia and 3 great-grandchildren Addison, Avery, and Jake

Visitation will be Friday, January 12, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Gosselin Funeral Home, 660 New Dover Road, Edison.
