Margaret Pollock, of Iselin died Sunday at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Jersey City and resided in NY City for 13 years before moving to Iselin in 1961.
Margaret was a longtime parishioner of St. Cecelia's RC Church in Iselin. She loved bingo, sewing, cooking for the family but more than anything she loved her dog Champ. She also contributed to the family business Madison Gulf, in Jersey City by being the bookkeeper. She was an insurance trainer for St Paul Insurance Company in Iselin which she loved so much because of the wonderful people who became her lifelong friends.
Mrs. Pollock was predeceased by her husband Edward Pollock (2012), her parents George and Anna Labik. Surviving her sons, Edward Pollock of Avenel, NJ and Michael & Lisa Pollock of Easton, Pennsylvania; her daughters, Maryann & James Knef of Dayton, NJ and Elaine McCarthy of Howell, 7 grandchildren Breanne, Erica, Jesse, Tara, Lee, Dana and Kevin. She is also survived by her loving brother George Labik and his wife Barbara and son-in-law Robert McCarthy.
Visitation will be held on Thursday September 6, 2018 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at the GOSSELIN FUNERALHOME, 660 New Dover Road, Edison. Funeral services will be held on Friday September 7, 2018 at 9:00AM at the funeral home, followed by a 10:00AM Mass at St. Cecelia's RC Church, Iselin. Entombment to follow in St. Gertrude's Cemetery, Colonia.
