Madeline Cimusz, 95, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, October 28, 2018, surrounded by loving family members.
Madeline was born in Michalany, Czechoslovakia on February 19, 1923, and grew up on a farm. When she was eleven years old, she arrived in America on the SS Bremen and resided in Cliffside Park, NJ. With the help of teachers and family members, Madeline mastered the English language in a short period of time. She worked in Kreisler jewelry factory for over 10 years. She married Philip Cimusz on May 26, 1951 and was married for 45 years until his death in 1996. Madeline lived in Edison for 55 years, where she enjoyed maintaining her house, including landscaping and lawn maintenance worthy of professionals. She was a parishioner of Saint Helena’s Roman Catholic Church since its founding over fifty years ago and was a member of the Altar Rosary Society.
Madeline is survived by her three children: son Paul Cimusz of Carlsbad, CA, and his two daughters Allison and Carolyn; daughter Debra Ciecwisz and husband Ray of Branchburg, NJ and their two children, Alyssa and Ryan; daughter Carol Cimusz of Edison, NJ; sister Margaret Aitkens of Florida and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation is Thursday November 1, 2018 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at the Gosselin Funeral Home 660 New Dover Road, Edison. Funeral Services 9:00AM Friday November 2, 2018 at the funeral home followed by a 10:00AM Mass at St Helena RC Church, Edison. Entombment will be at Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway
