Lynette W (Norton) Davis

Lynette Wilder Norton Davis of Union, NJ passed into eternity on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at the Center for Hope Hospice & Palliative Care in Scotch Plains. Lynette was born in Clinton, NC on January 21, 1932 to James Walter Norton, Sr and Rochelle Butler Norton. Lynette relocated to Union, NJ in the 1960s with then husband Norman Davis Jr. and dedicated herself to raising her family. In the 1980s she began working at Bayway Refinery in Linden, NJ as a receptionist. She later transferred to their mail distribution center where she worked until her retirement.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her brothers James Walter Norton, Jr, Henry Graham Norton and Elliott Mack Norton and her sister Molly Wood as well as her beloved children Randy L Davis and Kathleen L Cacchiola.

Lynette is survived by sisters Frances Lane of Portsmouth, VA and Phyllis Baggett of Highland Springs, VA and brother A.D. Norton of Clinton, NC as well as by her sons Norman Davis III, Danny Davis (Julie) and John Davis (Rosemarie) as well as daughter-in-law Malgorzata Davis. In addition, Lynette was proud grandmother to Christopher Cacchiola (Monica), Anthony Cacchiola, Joseph Cacchiola (Deanna), Tara Cacchiola, Eric Davis (Lucia), Alyssa Davis, Evan Davis (Allyson), Mya Davis, Jared Davis, Noreen Rydzewski (Bernie), Frank Davis (Cristine), Sean Davis, Victoria Davis, Christina Weatherford, Ryan Davis, Tiffany Davis, and great grandmother to Christopher Jr, Jake, Tyler, Cameron, Gina, Angel, Brianna, Melek, Bella and Carson.

Lynette was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her family was her greatest treasure and source of pride. She enjoyed caring for her home and garden, reading, bargain hunting and watching Fox News. She had a wonderful sense of humor and zest for life.  She will be fondly remembered by many as “Chic Chic,” the nickname that her grandchildren called her.

Visitation Thursday July 12, 2018 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at the Gosselin Funeral Home 660 New Dover Road Edison.
