Louis A Leva

Louis A Leva passed away peacefully on September 1, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born and resided in Brooklyn, NY before moving to Iselin 60 years ago.

Louis proudly served our country in the United States Army. Louis was a jeweler for over 40 years at several locations and also was self-employed during his working career both in New York City and Newark. Louis was a very religious man allocating many hours devoted to the Roosevelt Care Center, to the Iselin food Bank and working with the Iselin Knights of Columbus for over 35 years. Louis was a 3rd degree Knight of the Iselin Knights of Columbus.

He was predeceased by his parents Ernesto and Vincenza Leva. Surviving are his wife of 68 years Joan B Leva, his son Ernest Leva, M.D. and his wife Michelle, daughter Geralyn Zannetti and her husband Gene, 6 grandsons Louis, DDS (Kim), Joseph, Christopher, Gene (Gina), Jeffrey (Lisa) and Gregory also 7 great grandchildren Logan, Landon, Diana, John, Anthony, Vincent and Gene IV. Louis is survived by his 2 sisters Agnes Azzara and Cyd Martori also many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday September 4, 2019 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the Gosselin Funeral Home 660 New Dover Road, Edison. Funeral Services will be Thursday September 5, 2019 9:00am at the funeral home followed by a 10:00am funeral mass at St Cecelia RC Church, Iselin. Interment St Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
