Joy K. (Santoro) Mido

Joy (nee Santoro) Mido ​passed​ ​away​ peacefully ​on​ ​September​ ​26, ​ ​2017 at Ashbrook Nursing Home in Scotch Plains surrounded by her loving family. ​​Joy ​was​ ​born​ ​in Elizabeth and resided in Lakewood and Edison before moving to Manchester in 2012. Joy was a lab technician for Merck & Company in Rahway for over 20 years. She was a proud member of the Women’s Auxiliary Post 5 Rahway.

Predeceased by her former husband Robert Mido, Sr. (2017). Survived​ ​by​ ​her children Robert (Bo) Mido Jr. and his wife Tracy, Christopher Mido and his wife Lori, Jeffrey Mido and his wife Andrea; her grandchildren Alyssa Mido, Michael Mido, Ava Mido, Riley Duell and Juniper Mido; ­­her brother Joseph Santoro of Florida; her sister Denise Santoro of Newark; and her longtime companion Edward Korab of Colonia.

Visitation will be Tuesday October 3, 2017 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at the Gosselin Funeral Home 660 New Dover Road Edison. Funeral Services Wednesday October 4, 2017 at 10:00AM at the Funeral Home followed by a 11:00AM Blessing. Entombment St. Gertrude’s Cemetery Colonia, NJ.
