Joseph Morale Obituary

Joseph A. Morale passed away Saturday September 1, 2018 at JFK Medical Center, in Edison N.J. surrounded by his loving family. He was born and resided in Brooklyn NY before moving to Edison in 1971. While in Brooklyn, you could find him on the baseball field, his lifelong passion.   One of his favorite childhood memories and accomplishments was playing in Yankee Stadium after being drafted by 3 major league baseball teams.  Instead he chose to go to Pratt institute where he attended college.

He proudly served our country in the United States Army. While he was in the Army he received a Service Award for developing the light used on the M60 Tank. Joseph was an electrical engineer and he worked for Western Electric and AT & T for over 40 years.  In 1970, while working for Western Electric he invented and patented the translator circuit.

Joseph loved the Yankee’s and enjoyed watching the games with his children and grandchildren, who are now Yankee’s fans.  He was devoted to his family, loved spending time with them, and always put his family first.

He leaves behind his wife (Maryann Morale), 2 children (Danielle Mercora, Michelle Morale), 3 grandchildren (Nicole Mercora, Michael Mercora, Mary Cereste-Morale) and his sister (Francine Doerrbecker).
