Jose Rivera

Jose Rivera sadly passed away on July 22nd at JFK hospital in Edison NJ surrounded by his loving family.  He was born in Puerto Rico and raised in The Bronx before moving to Woodbridge Township.  He worked as a dedicated Accountant for Trinitas Regional Medical Center in Cranford, NJ.

Jose had an amazing sense of humor and always made everyone laugh around him. His smile and laughter were infectious.  He played sports throughout his life and his favorite teams were the NY Yankees, which he proudly sported with his favorite cap and jacket, and the NY Giants.  He was an incredible husband, brother, son, and a devoted father to his daughter who he adored.

Jose is predeceased by his parents, Jose and Rosa and surviving are his wife Jackie, his daughter Jaylene, brothers Hector and Ferdinand, Sister-in-law Maria, and nephew Steven.

Family and friends can pay their respects on Sunday, July 29, 12pm-4pm, Gosselin Funeral Home, 660 New Dover Road, Edison NJ.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 30, 8:30am at Gosselin, followed by mass at 9:30AM St. John Vianney Church, 420 Inman Avenue, Colonia NJ.  He will be laid to rest at St. Gertrude's Cemetery, 53 Inman Avenue, Colonia, NJ.
