John R Bedner

John R. Bedner “Johnnie B” passed away at home peacefully in his sleep on Monday, November 27, 2017 after a 14-year battle with multiple cancers. He was born in New Brunswick and resided in Colonia all of his life.

John was compassionate in his own unique and quirky way. He loved collecting antiques and restoring classic vehicles. He thoroughly enjoyed the years he spent with his father restoring his classic Chris Craft boat. He loved taking in the ocean breeze at the Jersey Shore, while enjoying a Kohr’s orange custard. He loved visiting various water fronts to watch the barges float by. He loved his time at Merrill Park, talking to his friends. He loved meeting new people and chatting with strangers. He loved crabbing in the Lavallette Bay. He cherished every moment with his beloved daughter and granddaughter.

He was predeceased by his father John J Bedner (2017). Surviving are his daughter Kristen Patterson and her husband Ronald, his granddaughter Brielle Patterson, his mother Elizabeth Bedner, his twin sister Jean Knower, and her husband Jack.
