John Katko, 73, passed away on August 17, 2017 at Robert Wood Johnson New Brunswick. He resided in Avenel, NJ, living in Rahway, NJ and Somerset, NJ before settling down in Iselin for last 10 years. Mr. Katko proudly served as an Air Policeman for the United States Air Force. He loved working as a supply tech at Merck in Rahway for 30 plus years.
Mr. Katko was predeceased by his parents Alexander and Catherine Katko. Surviving are his brother Al Katko, Jr and his wife Elizabeth of Charleston, S.C.; his sister Cathyann Swiderski and her husband Edward of Colonia; and 12 nephews and 5 nieces who he loved dearly.
Visitation will be Sunday August 20 from 5PM to 8PM at the Gosselin Funeral Home, 660 New Dover Road, Edison. Funeral service Monday August 21 at 9:45AM at the funeral home. Funeral Mass 10:45AM Monday, August 21 at St. John Vianney, Colonia followed by interment at St Gertrude Cemetery Colonia.
