Frank Yackinous, died Monday, December 2, 2019 at Roosevelt Care Center, Old Bridge.
He was born in Newark and lived in Iselin for 58 years before moving to Monroe Township in 2011.
Frank worked as a Teacher in Woodbridge Township for 30 years retiring 20 years ago. He was a parishioner of St. Andrew’s RC Church in Avenel and a 3rd degree member of the St Andrews Knights of Columbus. Frank coached many sports, and was loved by all his students.
Frank was predeceased by his wife of 49 years Virginia Yackinous, his parents Frank Yackinous and Marie Yackinous Taggert.
Surviving are children Jean Mardaga, Paul Yackinous also 2 granddaughters, Alexandra and Nicole Mardaga and his son-in-law Peter. Frank is also survived by brother William Yackinous and his wife Joyce, and his sister Kathleen Elling. He had many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom he loved dearly.
Visitation will be held on Friday December 6, 2019 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at the GOSSELIN FUNERAL HOME, 660 New Dover Road, Edison. Funeral Services 9:00AM Saturday December 7, 2019 at the funeral home followed by a 10AM Mass at St. Andrew’s RC Church, Avenel. Burial to follow in St. Gertrude’s Cemetery, Colonia.
