Elizabeth Cimino passed away peacefully on December 31, 2019 at home with her daughter Donna and son-in-law Manny by her side. She was born in Brattiro, Italy and resided in Newark before moving to Edison in 1979.
Elizabeth was a talented seamstress working for several places in Newark. Then, she worked for Chase Chemical Company in Newark as a quality control inspector, and then at Roosevelt Care Center in Edison as a dietician. She was an avid gardener and a communicant of St. Helena Church in Edison.
She was predeceased by her husband Bruno Cimino, her parents Mercurio and Maria Soriano Furchi, her brothers Tony Furchi who passed away at the age of 8 and Domenico Furchi, her sisters Concetta (Titina) Furchi, Michelina (Lina) Luisi and Antonietta Speranza . Surviving are her children Joseph Cimino and his wife Marian, Sara "Rosemary" Cimino and Donna Cimino – Pineiro and her husband Manny. Also, her grandchildren Joey (Carie), Eva (Jeff), Melissa (Chris), Jonathan (Lena), Vincent (Natalie), Antonio, Eric and Marcus and her great grandchildren Gianni, Adriana, Luca, Alessandra, Gracie and Sofia. She is also survived by her brother Antonio Furchi and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation Friday from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at the Gosselin Funeral Home 660 New Dover Road, Edison, Funeral Services Saturday 10:00am at the funeral home followed by a 11:15am Mass at St Helena Church, Edison. Entombment St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
