Domenica M. (Leone) Girardi

Domenica M. Girardi passed away Sunday August 26, 2018 at J.F. K. Medical Center, Edison surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Florence, Italy and came to the United States in 1949 settling in Summit, NJ. She resided in Scotch Plains moving to Edison 50 years ago.

She was a Crossing Guard for Edison Township for over 40 years. Domenica enjoyed sewing and crafting, but most of all loved spending time with her family.

She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Flora Leone and her sister. Surviving are her husband of 57 years Joseph, her children Michael Girardi and his wife Pat, Lisa Leary and her husband Gene, Joseph P. Girardi and his partner Christine Thomas, Steven J. Girardi and his wife Amanda also her grandchildren Timothy, Melanie, Christine, Anthony, Christopher and the future Baby G. She is also survived by her sister Carmela Zimmerman and her husband Gregory.

Visitation Thursday August 30, 2018 2:00PM to 4:00PM and 7:00PM to 9:00PM. Funeral Services Friday August 31, 2018 8:30AM at the funeral home followed by a 9:30AM Mass at St Helena RC Church, Edison. Entombment St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
