Benedita Caravela Pinho

Benedita Caravela Pinho of Colonia, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, December 5th. She was 83.  Born in Newark, NJ she lived in Newark before moving to Colonia in 1964.  She was the owner and founder of P&A Construction in Rahway for 58 years.  She was a parishioner of St. John Vianney RC Church in Colonia.

Bennie was predeceased by her husband Francisco A. Pinho, Jr and her brother, Manuel Caravela.  Survived by her four children; Maria and Helder Assuncao, Francisco and Kathy Pinho, III, Benedita and Joe Barros, Mary Jo and Jorge Agostinho; her 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; she is also survived by her sister-in-law Marie Caravela of Toms River and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, December 8th, 2017 from 2:00PM - 4:00PM and 7:00PM – 9:00PM at the Gosselin Funeral Home, 660 New Dover Road, Edison.  Funeral Services Saturday, December 9th 8:00AM at the Funeral Home with 9:00AM Mass at St. John Vianney RC Church, Colonia and Entombment to follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia
