My Uncle Artie was the true definition of a great man: kind, sweet, loving, welcoming, tough, dedicated, hard working, resilient, a leader and a patriot. He ALWAYS made this slow skiing, Oriole loving nephew feel as part of his family as his own kids (my Aunt and cousins too). In these days of inflated egos and bombast, you couldn't find a more decent human being and man. Love you Uncle Artie. Rest now.

Mr. Palumbo,
Thank you for teaching me to play baseball or stickball if over the manhole or wiffle ball on your driveway. I had lots of fun with Jimmy. I taught my kids and many more on the Little League field to play baseball as well. You never saw it but I remodeled my basement after your "Garage Museum devoted to #4", except mine was to #15. Growing up on Grant Avenue was like Heaven, so Rest in Peace. Eddy

UNCLE ARTIE:
You could always turn any frown into a big smile!

Somewhere I still have the little doll you brought to me from Korea, after the war, when I was just born!
Miss you already!
Love Linda

Dear Eileen and family, it was an honor knowing Artie. He always made it fun being around him. I enjoyed working and playing softball with him and Hank way back in the 70s. The baseball debates were always fun. He will be sorely missed, my deepest sympathies.

My deepest condolences to you, Eileen, and to your family on your loss.Everyone loved Artie. Once you met him you knew that he was a special person, someone who truly cared about you. You were his friend for life. Short in stature but tall in personality, Artie made you laugh. Artie made you know that he was there to help you in any way he could, and he always did. We will all miss him. Lou Gehrig, #4, was his favorite player. But to us, Artie will always be our favorite human being.
