Alberto M Fernandez passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, November 26, 2017, at JFK Medical Center, Edison. He was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and resided in Newark and Edison before moving to Avenel in 1984. He was a carpenter for the Northeast Reginal Council of Carpenters for 44 years. He loved soccer, spending time at the beach and most of all spending time with his family.

Alberto was predeceased by his father Delmiro Fernandez. Surviving are his wife of 37 years Laura (Mnich) Fernandez, his daughter Erica Fernandez, his mother Josefa Fernandez and his sister Beatrice Fabiano.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 30, 2017 from 2:00PM to 4:00PM and 7:00PM to 9:00PM at the Gosselin Funeral Home, 660 New Dover Road Edison. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 1, 2017 at 9:30AM at St Andrews RC Church, Avenel. All to meet at Church. Interment St Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
