Rosario Quinones

Rosario Quinones passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 24, 2024 post a long illness in the presence of her loving family. Rosario was born in Surgidero de Batabano, Cuba and immigrated to the United States alone at the age of 15 living in Elizabeth then Colonia, finally settling in Edison after proudly purchasing her first home. 

Surviving are her daughters Anabel (Walter) Karczewski and Yvonne (Eric) Q. Syto. Her legacy lives on through her adoring grandchildren Ethan, Olivia, Xander, and Amélie. Rosario lived for her family, raising her daughters on her own, relishing in their achievements. In their marriages, she gained 2 sons and 4 amazing grandchildren she loved with all of her being. 

In addition to her immediate family, she is survived by her sister Juana, who was a cherished best friend, her sister Flora, and brother Jesus. Rosario was predeceased by her parents Dolores and Leonardo and her brother Raphael. She leaves behind many other friends and family members. Her loss is immense and she will be dearly missed. 

She was courageous until the very end and now at rest. In lieu of flowers, please consider sending donations to Hilarity for Charity (https://www.wearehfc.org/) an organization bringing light to Alzheimer’s and support to caregivers.  

Visitation will be on March 30, 2024 from 12 pm to 4 pm at Gosselin Funeral Home 660 New Dover Road, Edison, NJ. Per her wishes, she will be cremated and sent out to sea.  

The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at Complete Care at Barn Hill and Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice for the loving care they provided to Rosario and her family.
