Patricia Shustack

Patricia B. Shustack, of Monroe Twp. NJ passed away peacefully on April 6, 2024, at the age of 85. She was born in Glen Ridge, NJ to the late Raymond and Margaret Messineo.

She earned her teaching degree at the College of St. Elizabeth, and her Master's degree at Kean College of NJ. Patricia began her teaching career at Arthur L. Johnson H.S., Clark, NJ, where she met her beloved husband Edward, and resided in Colonia, NJ. As a passionate Spanish, Italian, and ESL teacher for many years, she retired from Union Catholic H.S., Scotch Plains, NJ.

Patricia was predeceased by her husband Edward of 54 years. Surviving are her children Karen (Tim) Walker, Kim (Dave) Washington, and Robert (Anna) Shustack, and grandchildren Casie, Jillian, Caroline, Ryan, Kaylie, Dean, Mia, and Samantha.

A devoted mother, wife, grandmother, and friend, she greeted everyone with a smile. Pat enjoyed trips to Boca Raton, country music, entertaining, and family beach vacations on Long Beach Island.

A mass will be held on April 12, 2024, at 10:00 am at St. John Vianney Catholic Church located at 420 Inman Ave, Colonia, NJ 08535. Private viewing and burial.

In remembrance of Pat’s life and love, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, charitable donations be made to Alzheimer’s Organization alz.org
