Angelo J. Lombardi, 97, husband of the late Virginia Goins Lombardi died Tuesday, May 15th 2012 at the Hospice Care Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
Born on June 14th 1914 in Elizabeth, he was the son of the late Joseph and Alvira Lombardi.
Mr. Lombardi served in the Army Air Corp during World War II, was a retired home builder, and a member of the Cathedral of Christ the King. He loved to travel and spend time with his family, and after retirement made a point to frequently go out to enjoy breakfast.
Survivors include his son, James (Pam) Lombardi; two grandchildren, Kristin and Samantha Lombardi; two brothers, Pete (Angie) Lombardi and Joe (Ish) Lombardi; two sisters, Kate Juliano and Michilina (Duke) Mele; and other extended family.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 22nd from 4-8 PM at the GOSSELIN FUNERAL HOME, 660 New Dover Road, Edison. Graveside services and burial to follow on Wednesday at 10 AM at St. Gertrude’s Cemetery, Colonia.
