Thomas J. Scholl

Thomas J. Scholl, of Edison passed away on Friday, January 16th at the JFK Medical Center in Edison with his loving family at his side.  He was 65.
Born in Newark, he has lived in Edison for over 35 years.
Tommy had served with the East Orange Fire Department for 25 years before retiring as Captain.  He was also a member of the Firemen’s Benevolent Association and had served as President of the East Orange Chapter.
His father, Joseph Scholl died in 1986.
Surviving are his wife of 34 years, Theresa (Castellano); sons, Christopher Ballé of Edison, Kevin Scholl of Edison, Joseph Ballé and his wife, Trina of New Milford, John Ballé of Hillsborough and Dennis Scholl of Edison; daughter, Deborah Barry of South Plainfield; mother, Caroline Scholl of North Plainfield; sister, JoAnn Scholl of North Plainfield; 7 grandchildren, Brooke, Brandon, Brittany, Bridget, Trevor, Emily and Ronin; and Wayne Ballé, Suzanne Nolting and their families.
A Blessing will be held on Tuesday, January 20th at 10 AM at the GOSSELIN FUNERAL HOME, 660 New Dover Road, Edison.  Burial to follow in St. Gertrude’s Cemetery, Colonia.  Visitation will be held on Monday, January 19th from 5 - 9 PM at the funeral home.
