Salvatore P. Sciahetano, Jr,

Salvatore Sciahetano, Jr. passed away April 29, 2017 at home. He was born and resided in Elizabeth, NJ before moving to Colonia 47 years ago. Salvatore proudly served our country in the Marine Corp. He was a Tool and Die Maker for Thomas and Betts in Elizabeth for 35 years retiring 21 years ago. After retirement, he became a crossing guard for Woodbridge Township for 7 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Elizabeth. Salvatore was a marathon runner participating in numerous marathons including the NY, NJ and Marine Corp marathons.

     Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Joan Sciahetano, his sons Edward Sciahetano and his wife Jeannine and Raymond Sciahetano, also 2 grandchildren Collin and Rebbecca.

Visitation Tuesday May 2, 2017 from 5:00pm to 8:00PM at the Gosselin Funeral Home 660 New Dover Road Edison. Funeral Service Wednesday May 3,2017 8:30am at the funeral home followed by a 9:30am Funeral Mass at St John Vianney RC Church, Colonia. Interment St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia
