Peter Nicholas Triano, of Iselin died Sunday, November 22nd in Edison.  He was 88.

Born in Newark, he has lived in Iselin since 1958.

He was the Owner & President of the Federal Plastics Corporation in Cranford for 54 years before retiring in April 2014.

Peter was an active, longtime parishioner of St. Cecelia’s RC Church in Iselin, active with the Widow & Widowers Club and Bible Study groups.  He was also a member of the Society of Plastics Engineers and enjoyed horse racing.

 His wife, Helen L. Triano died in 2001.  His brother, Thomas C. Triano passed away earlier this year.

 Surviving are his sons and daughter-in-law, Peter T. Triano and his wife, Jeanne of Edison, and Michael A. Triano of Morris Plains; daughter and son-in-law, Karen A. Stallsmith and her husband, Stevens of South Orange; close friend, Cathy Pucca of South Plainfield; sister-in-law, Alinda Triano of Florida; brother-in-law, Dominick Delicato and his wife, Diane of Middletown; 8 grandchildren Kate & Jonathan Godin, Michael & Stephanie Stallsmith, William Stallsmith, Peter A. Triano, Nicholas Triano, Angela Triano, Olivia Triano and Juliana Triano; and 2 great-grandchildren, Jonathan “JJ” Godin and Hudson Thomas Stallsmith.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 25th at 9 AM at the GOSSELIN FUNERAL HOME, 660 New Dover Road, Edison, followed by a 10 AM Mass at St. Cecelia’s RC Church, Iselin.  Entombment to follow in St. Gertrude’s Cemetery, Colonia.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 24th from 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
