Paul C. Kutsy

“Loving Husband, Father & Grandfather”

Paul C. Kutsy, of Colonia died Thursday, April 20th at Haven Hospice at the JFK Medical Center in Edison.  He was 77.

Born in Elizabeth, he has lived in Colonia for 37 years.

Paul served in the US Navy during the late 1950s.

He worked in the Corrections Department of the Union County Jail in Elizabeth for 30 years, retiring in 1997 as a Senior Lieutenant.

He was a member of the PBA Local # 199, Elizabeth and a parishioner of St. John Vianney RC Church, Colonia.  He enjoyed fishing, NY Yankees baseball, puttering around his workshop and most of all spending time with his family.

Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Pauline; son, Paul of Colonia and his fiancée, Liberty Grace; daughters and son-in-law, Debbie Barbey of Garwood and Dawn & Steve Haligowski of Colonia; and 5 granddaughters, Brianna, Kayla, Samantha, Nicole and Christina.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 23rd from 4-8 PM at the GOSSELIN FUNERAL HOME, 660 New Dover Road, Edison.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 24th at 8:30 AM at the funeral home, followed by 9:30 AM Mass at St. John Vianney RC Church, Colonia.  Entombment to follow in St. Gertrude’s Cemetery, Colonia.
