Patricia A. Bluvias

Patricia A. Bluvias, of Colonia died Sunday, April 24th at the Haven Hospice at the JFK Medical Center in Edison.  She was 73.

Born in Rahway, she has lived in Colonia for the past 25 years.

She was a homemaker.

Her husband, Edward Bluvias died in 2013.  Pat is also predeceased by her brothers, Robert, Charles, Ronald and John Carter; and sisters, Barbara Mix, Allison Johnston and Sharon Medina.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Edward J. Bluvias, Jr. and his wife Rosemary of South Plainfield; daughters and son-in-law, Lorraine Bluvias of Woodbridge and Sandra Ashton and her husband, William Pena of Winfield Park; siblings, Thomas Carter of Illinois, Richard Carter of Georgia, James Carter and Mary Davison both of Winfield Park, Karen Miller of Linden, Brian Carter of Rahway; and twin grandsons, Joshua & Jacob Ashton.

A Blessing will be held on Friday, April 29th at 10 AM at the GOSSELIN FUNERAL HOME, 660 New Dover Road, Edison.  Entombment to follow in St. Gertrude’s Cemetery, Colonia.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 28th from 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
