Minerva Roman Rivera
November 6, 1929 ~ February 6, 2016 (age 86) 86 Years Old
Minerva Roman Rivera of Edison died Friday, February 5th at home surrounded by her loving family. She was 86.
Minerva was born in Bayaney, Puerto Rico before moving to the United States in 1948 to 1975 residing in Brooklyn and New Jersey returning back to Puerto Rico in 1995 and then in 2011she returned to the State’s residing in Edison. She worked as a seamstress for many years in the States.
She was predeceased by her parents Salvador Roman and Guillermina Rivera; and her four sisters Ines Pagan, Irene Roman, Maria Luisa Galan and Olga Montijo. Surviving are her devoted children Sandra Rodriguez and Michael Rodriguez her loving grandchildren Paola Frangui, Amanda Rodriguez and Christian Rodriguez, also her siblings Hilda Colon, Soraida Rodriguez, Eliseo Roman, and Lydia Mercado .
Visitation will be Tuesday February 9th 2016 from 5pm to 8pm at the International Christian Center Richmond Avenue Staten Island. Cremation will be private.
