Margaret E (Peixoto) Batista

Margaret E. Batista, age 61 entered into eternal rest after a courageous short battle with cancer on Wednesday, April12, 2017 at home surrounded by her beloved family.  She was born on November 1st, 1955 (All Saints’ Day) in Sao Miguel, Azores and came to New Jersey at the age of 10.  She was always extremely proud of her heritage.

She was a dedicated wife, mother and daughter who will be missed dearly.  Surviving are her husband, Rui Batista; her three beloved daughters, Jessica, Ashley, and Chelsea; and her parents Manuel and Maria Peixoto.

Margaret was an amazing woman who loved spending time with her family and grandogs.  She always had a smile that would brighten up a room and bring sunshine to each day.  She was a selfless, generous and hardworking woman who touched the lives of all those she met.  She loved flip flops, ladybugs, butterflies, wearing her high heels, shopping, helping others, the summer months and going down the shore.  She was a true reflection of the word beautiful and will live forever in everyone’s hearts.

Visitation Tuesday April 18, 2017 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the Gosselin Funeral Home 660 New Dover Road Edison. Funeral Service Wednesday April 19, 2017, at 9am followed by a 10am Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Fatima RC Church, Elizabeth. Entombment St Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
