Joseph Richard Wenskoski

Joseph R. Wenskoski, of North Plainfield passed away on Thursday, June 1st at Haven Hospice at the JFK Medical Center in Edison.  He was 36.

Born in Edison, he lived in Metuchen and the Franklin Boro before moving to North Plainfield since 2015.

Joe served as a Police Officer for over 10 years, first with the NJIT Police in Newark, then Metuchen before serving Edison Township 2 ½ years ago.

He was a member of Bunting’s Hunting Club in Clinton and the Edison PBA, Local #75.  He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, NY Giants football, NY Yankees baseball and spending time with his wife and family.  This summer Joe would be the father of twins, a son and daughter.

Surviving are his wife, Tracy; father, Richard Wenskoski of Stewartsville; mother, Elizabeth Ciancinimo of Connecticut; brothers and sisters-in-law, Derek of Edison, Richard Jr. and his wife Julie of Pennsylvania and Vincent and his wife Maryann of California; sister, Christina Wenskoski and her significant other, Richard Graves of Andover; in-law, Tom & Marilyn Peters of Nutley; and his beloved dog, Jake.  He will also be missed by his nieces, nephews and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 6th from 4-8 PM at the GOSSELIN FUNERAL HOME, 660 New Dover Road, Edison.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 7th at 8:30 AM at the funeral home, followed by a 10 AM Mass at the Church of St. Theresa, Kenilworth.  Cremation will be held privately.
