Joan M. (Janasie) Tacca

Joan Tacca (Janaise), 76, passed away peacefully Friday, July 22nd at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick surrounded by her loving husband and children.  She was born and raised in the Bayway section of Elizabeth and moved to her Colonia home in 1962. 

She worked in Human Resources for St. Paul Insurance for many years and eventually retiring from there.  Joan enjoyed cooking and gardening.  She always had fresh cut flowers from her garden everywhere.   She enjoyed playing bridge with the same group of gals for over 53 years.  Her passion was her family and the love of her life was her grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Frank Tacca, her children, Carolann and Ron Miller, Stephen Tacca, Michele and Ed Gardella, and David and Holly Tacca along with her five grandchildren, Matthew & Brian Miller, Danny & Brodie Tacca, and James Gardella.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 25th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Gosselin Funeral Home, 660 New Dover Road, Edison.  Funeral Services will be Tuesday, July 26th 8:30 am at the funeral home followed by a 9:30 am Mass at St Jonh Vianney RC Church in Colonia.  Interment at St Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
